Eka viikko koulussa

Ensimmäisen yön jälkeen olikin aika aloittaa koulu Randerssissa. Minua tultiin vastaan hostellille ja opiskelijat Signe ja Christofer näyttivät minulle reitin kouluun. Onnekseni huomasin, että koulun on vain muutaman minuutin kävelymatkan päässä.

Koulu vaikutti todella isolta ja siinä oli monta erillistä rakennusta. Minulle esiteltiin koulun eri rakennuksia ja missä luokassa tulisin viettämään seuraavat viikkoni. Luokkahuone oli todella hieno! Siellä oli 16 opiskelijaa jotka kaikki työskentelivät samassa yrityksessä, osa myynnissä ja osa ostoissa. Opiskelijat olivat opiskelleet alaa 2-4 vuotta eli homma oli heillä erittäin hanskassa.






Alkuperäisessä suunnitelmassa minun olisi pitänyt viettää eka päivä business- kerroksen vastaanotossa, mutta opettajavajeen vuoksi siellä ei ollut ketään joka olisi voinut minua opettaa.
Vietinkin ensimmäisen päiväni Signen vieressa ja seurasin mitä hän tekee.

Tiistaina minua pyydettiin tekemään esittely Suomesta ja itsesäni koululle. Kirjoitinkin melkein koko loppuviikon newspaper- artikkelia, missä kerroin itsestäni, Hyriasta, Suomen historiasta, Helsingistä, suosituimmista vapaa-ajan aktiviteeteista yms. Sain lehdestä yli 9 sivua pitkän ja opettajat vaikuttivat erittäin tyytyväiseltä siihen :)
Välillä seurasin taas Signen vieressä mitä asioita hän yrityksensä eteen teki.

Viikko meni todella leppoisasti ja toivottavasti pääsen seuraavalla viikolla kunnolla mukaan yrityksen toimintaan!

Kööpenhaminassa

Ennen koulun alkua Randerssissa päätimme isäni kanssa tulla hetkeksi Tanskaan lomailemaan! Vietimme siis n.3 päivää Kööpenhaminassa ennen kuin lähdin junalla kohti Randersia.

Saavuimme Kööpenhaminaan myöhään illalla ja heti kun oltiin viety laukut hotellille menimme syömään perinteisiä smörrebrödejä! Leivät olivat todella hyviä ja niiden päällä oli kalaa,possua ja kanaa ja tietenkin erilaisia kasviksia ja kastikkeita.

Seuraavana päivänä heräsimme varhain aamulla kiertämään Kööpenhaminaa. Menimme ensimmäiseksi ströget kadulle jossa oli paljon erilaisia kauppoja. Kiertelimme turistikaupoissa etsimässä tuliaisia ja vaatekaupoissa katselemassa Tanskalaista muotia. Harmikseni täältä löytyi paljon perinteistä Vero Modaa ja H&M liikkeitä. Kävimme kuninkaanlinnan pihalla ja sieltä suuntasimme katsomaan Kööpenhaminan tunnetuinta nähtävyyttä eli "LittleMermaidia". Veden ollessa alhaalla pääsimme todella lähelle patsasta. Viimeisenä nähtävyytenä menimme katsomaan Nyhavnin hienoja värikkäitä taloja. Jalkamme olivat todella kipeät tämän päivän jälkeen!

Viimeisenä päivänä kävimme taas kiertelemässä strögetillä, mutta mukaamme ei tarttunut mitään. Söimme hyvin ja pian isä olikin hyvästelemässä minua Randerssiin menevän junan edustalla. Minä hyppäsin junaan ja n.3 tunnin matka Randerssiin alkoi.

Päätin tehdä oman esittelyni Englanniksi, mutta loput päivityksistäni tulevat olemaan suomeksi :)

Hello!

I am Iiris Nieminen, 22 years old girl from Finland. I was born in Helsinki but at the age of 3 my family moved to Kerava where we have lived ever since. Kerava there wasn´t so many people living there but now they have built houses and company buildings to open fields and forests so population has almost doubled. Kerava has a tough reputation but I have always loved living there and have felt safe even when walking my dog at the middle of a night.
In my family there are my Dad, my older sister Iida and my dog Welsh Corgi Pembroke  named Rölli. At the moment I´m studying in Hyria Education for Diploma in Business Administration and I will graduate this June. After I graduate I would like continue studying in Finnish university. What I would like to study is still a big question. I´m staying in Randers for four weeks and going school called Tradium. Later I will tell you more about Tradium but it is basically just Danish copy of Hyria. I´m hoping to learn how to work in a foreign company environment. In Randers I´m living in a hostel. It is far from glamorous but it has the best bed I have ever slept on so I am not complaining!





In my free time I go to the near horse stables. I started riding when I was 7 years old. First I rode horses in equestrian centers but when I noticed that wasn´t enough for me I decided to start renting a horse. Renting a horse basically means that 3 times a week I treat the horse as my own. I also clean the horses box, groom her and ride her. That also means that if the horse is sick I can´t ride her but I still have to take good care of her. I also have to go to the stables even tough I´m tired or feeling sick. I think this is a good practice if I ever decide to buy horse of my own.

I have rented a horse named Vica for 3 years now. Vica is 9 year old Estonian sport horse mare. She is very kind and loves jumping. Sometimes she is lazy but when you put a jump in front of her, she gets excited.

I have participated in dressage and showjumping competitions with Vica. Jumps are her speciality but I really like dressage as well. In dressage, horse and rider are expected to perform from memory a series of predetermined movements. The judges are looking for excellent rhythm and regularity, relaxation, contact, impulsion, straightness and collection. In showjumping competitions you have to run through an obstacle course in a numerical order without making any mistakes and being as fast as you can. Also the obstacles are different height. I usually jump obstacles that are about 80cm high.


Last year I started kickboxing and I have loved to do it ever since! I really like heavy training and that is why kickboxing is just made for me. I now have yellow belt which is the second belt you can get and I would love to get as much belts as possible. I´m not interested of kickboxing competitions which is why I can´t get all the belts. In order to get different colored belts you must have trained for a certain time. The more belts you get the harder it is to get the next one. You have to start training others and also begin to compete.
